The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the combatants confronted each other to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.
Ex two-time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's arena on December 19th.
Boxer's Mentality
"I plan to damage his features and damage his physique. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.
"I intend to really want to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of such comments, a composed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically famous for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul rather attacked former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at British rival Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.
Jake Paul's Background
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
Still, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, frequently receiving massive earnings.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in rounds four or five and stated he would derail the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.
"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.
Physical Difference
As both boxers engaged in the customary confrontation, with their physical disparity on show, it emphasized just how improbable this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the match is actually happening.
